A practical, step-by-step routine for displaying and cleaning your BLEACH chibi figure set so the paint, PVC, and mini swords stay intact on your shelf.
Quick answer
Display your BLEACH chibi figures on a stable, dust-free shelf away from direct sun, and clean them with a soft brush or dry microfiber cloth. Handle each figure by the base or body, never by the mini sword, to avoid bending or snapping thin parts.
Why chibi figures need a gentler routine
Chibi figures pack a lot of detail into a small PVC body. The BLEACH Chibi Action Figure Set includes six characters ranging from 6.4 to 8 cm tall, with first-edition-style outfits and mini swords. At that scale, the swords and hair tips are the most fragile points, and they are also the parts most likely to catch dust.
Unlike larger articulated figures, these chibi pieces are not built for constant posing. Treat them as display collectibles: set them once, then keep handling to a minimum. That approach protects the paint and reduces the chance of dropping a small figure behind the shelf.
Shelf placement that protects paint and small parts
PVC can fade or become tacky when exposed to prolonged direct sunlight and heat. Choose a shelf away from windows, radiators, and bright desk lamps that stay on for hours. A closed display case is ideal, but an open shelf works if you dust regularly.
Keep the set together or group the figures by character. Spacing them at least a few centimeters apart makes dusting easier and prevents swords from tangling with a neighbor's hair or accessories. If you display them on a desk, place them toward the back edge so a sleeve or cable does not knock them over.
Step-by-step display and care routine
- Pick a stable, shaded shelf: Choose a spot out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources. Check that the shelf is level and not in a high-traffic area where the figures could be bumped. If the shelf gets direct sun for more than an hour a day, move the set or add a UV-filtering display case.
- Set each figure in place by the base: Hold the figure by its base or body and press it gently onto the shelf. Keep the mini sword pointing away from neighboring figures so it does not catch on hair or clothing details. Never lift a figure by the sword or hair; those are the most fragile points.
- Dust weekly with a soft brush: Use a clean, soft-bristled brush or a dry microfiber cloth. Brush downward from the head to the base with light strokes, and use the brush tip to clear dust from between the sword and hand. Skip canned air; the force can dislodge small parts or push dust deeper into crevices.
- Deep-clean only when needed: For stubborn dust, dampen a microfiber cloth with water and wring it out thoroughly. Wipe the figure gently, then dry it immediately with a dry cloth. Do not use alcohol, acetone, or household cleaners on PVC. If you see sticky residue or paint transfer, stop cleaning and contact the seller rather than scrubbing harder.
- Store spares and extras safely: If you rotate your display, store unused figures in a lidded box lined with acid-free tissue or a soft cloth. Keep the box in a cool, dry place and avoid stacking heavy items on top. Label the box with the set name so you can find the right figures without digging through loose parts.
