The layered paper cutouts look even sharper lit up than they did in the photos, and the LED glow is bright without being harsh. I've been running it on battery mode on my bookshelf for a week and haven't had to swap anything yet.

The remote control is a nice touch—I can dim it from across the room without getting up. The USB option keeps it running all evening on my desk, and the paper layers catch the light with a depth that photos don't do justice.
