The layered paper cutouts honestly look sharper in person than in the listing photos, you can see the depth in each layer when the backlight kicks on. I went with the battery option so I can move it around the room without hunting for an outlet.
The LED backlight is way brighter than I expected and the remote makes it easy to dim at night. I've been running it off batteries on my shelf so there's no cable clutter, and the layered paper still has sharp detail up close.
Bought this for my desk and the LED glow is way warmer and more vivid than I expected. The remote is handy for dimming it at night. Only gripe is the battery option drains fast, so I mostly keep it plugged into USB.
