The layered paper gives the lightbox real depth when the LED kicks in, way nicer than a flat printed panel. The remote makes it easy to dim at night without getting up.
Battery-powered was the selling point for me since I wanted it on a shelf with no outlet nearby, and it's been running fine for weeks. The remote makes it easy to dim at night, and the acrylic frame feels sturdier than I expected for paper art.
The layered paper art is so crisp, and the acrylic frame makes it look way more expensive than it was. I keep it on my desk plugged into my laptop, and the LED backlight is bright enough to show every detail off even during the day.
