I plugged it into my laptop and the LED backlighting is so crisp it makes the layered paper cutouts look almost 3D at night. The remote means I can switch it off from across the room without getting up, which is way more convenient than I expected.
The remote control makes it so easy to switch between moods without getting up, and the layered paper gives it a depth that photos don't capture. I've had it plugged in on my desk for a week now and the glow is steady, not harsh at all.
The LED backlight is definitely bright enough and the remote makes it easy to switch colors, but the paper layers look a bit flimsier in person than in the photos. It's a nice desk piece for the price, though I wish it came with a USB cable that felt more durable.
